Competition Demolition Online Marketing

DISCLOSURE

My Personal Disclosure

I have never reviewed a product, service or website that I didn’t feel was insanely valuable and worth having OR that I’m not (Or have been) a current paying member of myself before ever signing up to the affiliate program. For example, I’m a paying member of keywordspy, spyfu, bcwebnet web hosting (where this blog is hosted and I believe they’re one of the better ones, i’ve tried quite a few!) and several other tools that i’ve recommended with an affiliate link (and some without).

I’ve run adsense on this blog in the past, but I nolonger do that because I feel it degrades from the value of the site, it doesn’t produce much income anyway and it takes people away from the blog.

I collect email addresses and I send out monthly newsletters (When i remember) with juicy tips. VERY VERY rarely, do I ever send offers via email, but I may do that one day in the distant future, and when I do it will be something of such incredible value that i’ll be forgiven by the saints and the signups for doing so (I hope!).

At this stage, I’m not selling anything and 1 in 10 blog posts has an affiliate link within it and of course my web hosting banner below.  I place those banners and affiliate links there not just to promote those companies and get some small return but also because they’re damn good and I wouldn’t put *MY* Blog or my name behind them if they weren’t.

Unlike Matt Cutts, feel free to send me products & services to review! I will take them, I will write about them, and I will mention I got my copy free and whether I truthfully believe it’s worth every penny to invest in or not. Please expect that i’ll be bluntly honest though. My office email is dano@answerswanted.com.

If I ever did decide to start some other form of monetary benefit from my blog…

From now on, i’ll go right ahead and say it. In fact, I think I’ll go AHEAD of the fold, above and beyond every other internet marketer by saying this! From now on, i’ll offer an affiliate link and a regular link. The product costs the same no matter which link you use, but one will benefit me in some small way, and the other won’t. That way, if you think my review/post is garbage or you just don’t like me, you don’t have to worry about giving me any kind of commission. If however, you feel it WAS of value and helped you decide whether you wanted that service or not, by all means use my affiliate link.

Sound fair?

For the record, I’m not a US Citizen and not required to adhere to the FTC law, but I don’t mind being upfront and honest.
